Today, 20 members of the Silver Spring Volunteer Fire Department - operational, life, and life safety - provided staffing at the Montgomery County Fair. SSFD members staffed EMS assets (two BLS transport units, two BLS carts, and an ALS cart), the the public education tent (including a certified car seat technician), and (in what may have been the hit of the fair) the bounce house.

In addition to providing care for several fair-goers, we kept three engine companies in their first-due areas so that they could also provide service to the residents of Montgomery County. Thank you and great job!
