o Ebola virus is not communicable to others until a person exhibits signs
of illness.

o Only persons who have had direct contact with the blood and body fluids
of someone ill with Ebola viral disease are at risk of infection.

o Infection prevention measures used every day in U.S. health care are
sufficient to prevent the spread of Ebola viral disease.

o There is a coordinated public health and health care response that will
contain the spread of Ebola in Virginia.
